Something without too much height or it will potentially hit the adjacent board when lifted.
I would fill in the open bit where the hinges are maybe an extension of the walling? How about a boarded up tunnel mouth with an abandoned stretch of derelict rail on the lift up section?

Slowly, slowly does it, it’s been too hot to rush. I’m a touch undecided what to to with the front grassed area, I’m thinking along the lines of an allotment, just to create a bit of interest.

Yes it does lift off, as does the terrrace behind, just leaving the hinged section below, a vast saving on my knees :D

Managed to save (cannibalise?) the walling from the original lift out section, well sort of. With a little bit of trimming here and there it should fit. It seemed better than having to ...
