Treated myself to a belated Christmas present, Class 45, D15 from TMC and weathered.
Run it in on DC then fitted sound. The model is a flawless runner on both power systems. I am aware of the criticisms elsewhere but the model looks good to me. I have compared it to the Bachmann 45 and it is superior as one would expect from new tooling and modern techniques.
Normally I use my own sounds but my 45 is not very good so I fitted the SWD sound. Its a nice sound. The jury is out which sounds better, SWD, Legomanbiffo or Howes. The speaker is the Loksound 50345, 22x42x8 4 ohm. I tapered the base of the enclosure to clear the bogie tower. The reproduced sound is very good, probably one of the best I have used. Normally I make my own speakers using the ESU 15x11 diaphragms.

Re: Class 45
I did the same, but the BR green version with the 'value' weathering.
Runs well on my DC powered layout.
