Probably just ancient Peco flexi.

Are you sure it is code 100 track and not code 124 flexi track from Peco? Those more knowledgeable than me may be able to explain the differences in height other ways, but the difference between code 100 and 124 would be noticeable.

The number in the height of the rail in 1000ths of an inch. So 124 is 24 thou taller than 100.

Suspect you have Code 75 track. rather that Code 100, which matches Setrack and Hornby track profile

I thought set track was only available in Code 100 which means the offending flexi must be bigger.

Having said that Code 124 is O gauge. Do they make an 00/H0 track larger than Code 100.

Code 100 to Code 75 would make a marked difference in rail profile height in OO/HO.

Code 100 rail is supplied in all Hornby and Peco Setrack, plus of course Peco Streamline Code 100 track and Bachmann UK track sections.

Not that I'm aware of - however it is the flexi that is bigger than the set track, hence my uneducated comment about code 124. This is I believe the code nearest the old Hornby Series 4 track size.

Morning Brian. Darkscot indicated that the flexi was bigger than the set track. As set track is 100 what could the flexi be if it is bigger?

Hello all, I should have been more precise. The track is the same height as the adjoining track, but the rails are thicker. The outside edge of the rails line up perfectly, but the inside edge doesn't. It might be that there was a variation of thickness on the track and it just happened to be thicker at the point I cut it?

Ah now that is strange.
