Hello RAF96,

Apart from the UK standard plugs blue/brown/earth I've always associated red and black as positive and negative, as I said in my introduction thread I've been building 1/16 military vehicles for a good few years now and have used many types of batteries to power these and red/black has always been that.
I don't normally struggle with wire colour as most of the main one's are easy to work out, I will be using different colour cables to wire the layout as it will be easier with helping to route and trace them,

I am much the same and struggle a bit with some of the reds, greens and browns - a male failing.
