Time for a change and a little modelling on the layout.
There was a messy and redundant siding next to the coal drops but the plan now is to join it to the loop that bypasses the station to allow direct access between the goods yard and engine shed areas.

Made some good progress yesterday. Track laid, ballasted and some weathered blending done. I have to add some grass clumps but need to make some more as my stash seems to have disappeared from it's hiding place. I also have to wire up the point motor.
Unfortunately my arthritis got yhe better of me this morning, causing me to drop my phone whole taking these pictures- it seems I now have a length of fence to replace (and a phone screen).🥺

I'm not going to be able to fit a Hornby sound decoder in this one, so I'll need to save my pennies for a 'full fat' decoder at some point.

Hard to believe but I've not printed or painted any figures for six months - my fingers are now explaining why. Thank God for codeine.

Great pictures - it's these little diorama's that make a layout - the trainspotters taking photographs is a super picture - are they Modelu figures?. It also reminds me that I have about a hundred figures to paint.

Yes Barry, all Modelu via the Patreon scheme. Did you spot the spotters have different makes of camera? I should have painted one with a beard to represent PP.
