For me a scary experience, with already a bundle of Bachmann's retooled 64'6" Bulleid carriages on pre order , along comes the 59 footers from Hornby And with choice of two different numbers for sets of three in both SR and BR liveries! Gulp! Then there are the new industrials, both highly attractive. And then a retooled Terrier. I hope SWMBO doesn't get wind of it!!

I've just done my pre-orders this morning - I just hope that Hornby stick to their "due" dates - or later would be good. The thought of them all arriving in the same month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 0-4-0 diesel shunter looks like it would suit my mess/layout nicely, and under £40

An ideal loco. Has the same chassis as the oldrr 0-4-0's but the revamped one so is good. Certainly a nice one, but shop around for a good price.
What does puzzle me is most models that use the same chassis have a RRP price of around £35, yet the Smokey Joe version (Which is the most popular version sold) is £40. I can't find a reason to explain it so far. They are however lovely little runners and it would not surprize me if they regularly outsell any other locos as they are just lovely.
Well done to Hornby for keeping such locos in the range.
