Good to see you back Richard. I think we all go through those periods when we wonder "where am I going with this"?
I was "stewarding" at the Basingstoke show this weekend, and you look at some of the small layouts that have "super detail" and think I could do that - and it's all in a smaller space than I have. I recently joined the local model railway club - a number of members my age, but I'm not sure I can offer the commitment. They have a large exhibition layout called Beggarwood Lane, which featured in this months Hornby magazine, and an old ex-show layout called Lulworth, which Is a SR steam layout (my era), but it really has seen better years, and I'm thinking "well I'd rip that out and start again", but you can't say that - so I will see how it goes. Look forward to seeing your progress with regards "detail" - your layout has always looked impressive. Barry

Indeed welcome back Richard, a lovely layout and those wonderful hydraulics. Many a happy day spent a Reading in the last years of the Westerns.
‘Where am I going with this’ - I’m worse than that, every exhibition I go to I want to start again.
Look forward to your detailing.

It would definitely be the mother of all Sundays if one found a Black Western and a Maroon Hymek stabled at Portencross, silently awaiting their next call of duty

I recognise those.
Probably have your fingerprints all over them
Nice picture though - I do have the Class 66 back out on the layout - that is the extent of my diesel running.

I wear gloves to avoid being traced by the authorities.

Sorry but I suffer from PD.
Plausible deniability.
