Triang- Hornby Caledonian Coaches

Hi all I am wondering if someone can help clear up my confusion.
I was looking at what early LMS coaching stock was available in OO, and came across the old Triang ex Caledonian LMS versions.
I then found a very nicely presented video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSf-UppsDk4
In this he shows a newer (Hornby?) release version.
I am wondering if anyone knows what were the R numbers for this later release, and if I am likely to be able to find some ?

The pack Hornby R2806 is currently on E-bay in the UK - one from Ireland @ £185 incl postage and one from the UK @ £230!
Both sets are used and buy it now offerings.

Yep, Pricey when I need 2 sets to make a 5 or 6 coach rake ! I won't count chickens until they are hatched, but I might have a couple of hopefully "as new" set locos for sale soon !

I've just looked on UK ebay and there is a set of 3 Caledonian coaches with zero bids and currently over 6d left. A reasonable buy it now price too of just over £21 and zero bids - of course the postage may make them unsuitable but it is an option.

Hi IanS, yes those are the older versions, the ones from the set are the same mouldings but have the benefit of a much more modern printing/painting method and slightly more modern chassis.
I am aware these are not an accurate model either way, being made to fit a MK1 coach chassis, but I have made my peace with that !

Be patient. These do occasionally come for sale secondhand. You have just missed a pair of them that sold with Elaines Trains for £12, so don't go spending silly money on them. Is a matter of patience.

Patience ? what's that ?

First set arrived today, so half of my rake is here ;) once all have arrived, (allegedly 2 more sets on the way but expecting one to not make it TBH), I'll set about listing the locos.
Looks like a bit of modifying to do for close coupling as the tension locks are moulded to the bogies, not screwed or clipped in as I hoped.
and obviously some repurposing to do from the spares box to make the interiors :)
