Has anyone put Hornby TTS in an 00 classes 68 or 70?

I am considering putting something like a Hornby Class 60 TTS chip in a Dapol Class 68 or Bachmann Class 70?
Alternatively I might wait until the Class 66 TTS are available.

I think if I do this then I will upgrade the speaker, so has anyone experience of the improvements to a class 60 of TTS with a better speaker?

Many thanks
Paul

Although I have not done the conversion you are contemplating, I have done one or two others so feel qualified to answer the speaker part of the question.
Quite simply, anything will be better than the standard TTS speaker!
I would recommend that you first establish how much space you have in which to fit a speaker and then look at the many options from YouChoos.
They have a range of sugarcubes with shaped sound boxes that should fit into the roof if space is tight.
"Not very stable, but incredibly versatile." ;)
