I've added the review in the review section, hopefully it will be of some assistance or at least the links at the bottom might be.

The 'Motorola' option is an old Marklin digital control system.

Ihave the white z21 Start dcc system with wi-fi router and came with a red multimaus hand controller. I purchased it via Scograil in Ipswich for around £140 and its perfect for my layout "Jencaster". I operate locos and points from the multimaus but can also use the tablet or phone if the mood takes me. Excellent vaule for money and i cannot fault it.
The larger black Z21 has additional featured, more amps etc but for my 14 x 8 layout, the z21 is adequate.
I have a programming track on a siding and a switch to take it from main to programming.
I highly recommend the product. Lots of discussion on RMWeb so look there for advice as well.

I have a few questions:-
1) How many points are there in your system?
2) How many trains do you have running at the same time?
3) Can the system easily operate double heading or Top and Tailing?
4) Do you have a Mimic diagram of the layout on your tablet? If so what software do you use for that and to run the phone?
Many thanks
Cheers

Re: I am looking for information on the Z21 system?
I have 32 solenoid points operated via dcc using the z21 roco app and dcc concepts ads-8sx's.
I usually run two trains at once. I cant concentrate on any more than that but the system could cope with more i'm sure.
I dont consist but you can check with Roco. As far as i can tell, you can without any issue.
In the app you can draw your layout using the tools and add a variety of points, signals etc. You can dowload the app and play with it before you commit. Readily available on google play etc. Just type in Roco Z21. Make sure its the main app not the maintenance version.
You can also use other railway operating apps with it, i just prefer to use the Roco one. If you go on the roco website it tells you which ones will work with the z21.

In the App there are settings that allow you to record the time of locos over a set distance at various speed steps. With these settings in place you can then create consists and the system works it all out for you.
