Will the DCC Concepts AD-S8sx LED's need a resistor??

Don't want to power up my DCC Concepts AD-S8sx until everything is connected. On the AD-S8sx it has the facility to run LED's for signals, IE red/green. I have run these back to a mimic panel.
Question is: I am using a 3mm Bi colour 3 leg led's at the mimic panel. Do these need a resistor.???? or is it built into the DCC Concepts AD-S8sx. Thanks

The manual states under item 6...
LED indicators for your Panel: AD-S2sx makes
adding LEDs an easy task. LED brightness level
can vary so start with a 560 ohm resistor in series
with each LED and vary it to suit your own taste!

Next further down it states,,,,
Power is regulated at a low level but a resistor is still needed to current limit the
LED and control illumination level. Because of this so-called “12v LEDs cannot
be used. We suggest you start with a 640 ohm resistor in series with your LED
If you choose to use a combination of red and Green LEDs or ANY dual colour
you will find that you will need different resistors in each colour.

You will need resistors. You may also need to fit a different value resistor into red than the green, as each colour can be far brighter than the other.

Thanks Brian, you have explained it a bit better. I didn't want to connect it to the power until i had connected everything up & wasn't sure of the led output voltage to work out a resistor.
So, if i start with a 640k on 2 of the three legs "red/green" & if needed go up to a 800k if i want it not quite so bright.

Yes sort of.... One resistor in each feed wire per colour per LED.
Not 800K (800,000 Ohm) though, as I doubt any LED would light with that sort of resistance I would look at around 2K up to 10K as a maximum. (2000 to 10,000 OHM)
