Severn Models - Etched Brass Stables, Workshop & Stores
Severn Models - Etched Brass Stables, Workshop & Stores
My latest project (as well as building loco's and some Parkside/Cambrian wagons) is building the excellent etched brass building kits from Severn Models.
High level of detail, easy to put together and I consider them to be good value.

I soldered these kits, but super-glue works just as well and is recommended by the manufacturer.
I painted them using Humbrol Dark Brown wash over an etching primer, and then coloured each plank with differing shades from the excellent Acrylic track weathering packs by Lifecolor and Ammo.
Currently painting some shunting horses and will set up a diorama near the wagon sidings.

Very nicely assembled and painted.
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!

I have seen them displaying at local shows - always been impressed with them but never actually bought one of the kits.
I think one of their kits has a lot of tools and barrows, may have to get one to clutter up the layout.

"Not very stable, but incredibly versatile."

Thank you both.
The workshop and garden tools are excellent with a whole range of things to suit most settings. I used them in my garage scene (along with tools from Scalelink, and dotted them around the engine shed/permanent way huts etc.

Good grief that is amazing. I’m sure I saw somebody walk across to the other side.

Nurse, the screens!

Thank you and very much appreciated! Always good to hear, but still not up to the standard of some folks on here! Lots still to learn and do!
