Does anyone know of a source for any service sheets for the cars? Thanks for any help.

According to t'internet, there is no known repository for these. Presumably they were in printed back in the day so may turn up on eBay from time to time .
I couldn't find a collectors club specifically for Minic but there is (or was) a Facebook group.

Thanks for your reply. I've checked eBay but nothing. I found recently that the copper wheel that picks up from the track on the earlier cars came in 2 different sizes and I'm not sure which cars take which size as both seem to fit (and like most Minic, neither really work that well...)

This is the site for Mimic Motorways http://www.minicmotorways.org.uk/ and may contain details of what you are looking for? Not checked it myself though.

Thanks Brian,

It's an interesting site with lots of photos but I do not see any technical stuff.

If I find anything of use, I'll post the details on this site.

Regards,

The wheel pickup was really naff compared to the sprung arms. I also remember on some models with the wheel pickup the front wheels did not always make contact with the track my Chevrolet Corvette always drove round more like Del Boy’s Robin Reliant.
